Eco-participation, return of your products and sorting instructions.
The eco-participation (or eco-contribution) allows to finance the collection, the recycling and the depollution of the products at the end of life. It concerns electrical and electronic appliances, furniture, batteries and packaging. We are going to give you some keys to better understand how it works and why it exists.
Waste of Furniture Elements
Eco-mobilier brings solutions for the collection and the valorisation of used furniture, by offering them a second life, by recycling them or by using them as a source of energy. If they are in good condition, you can then give them to a structure of the Social and Solidarity Economy near you. If not, you can deposit them in a dedicated skip at the waste disposal center. These products are then sent to sorting centers where the materials are separated and transformed into new raw materials.

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
Since November 15, 2006, all electrical and electronic products sold to households are subject to the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) eco-tax. This contribution, included in the sale price, helps finance the collection, recycling and depollution of these products. The amount varies according to the product and the type of treatment it requires.

The 1 for 1 trade-in
At the time of the sale of an electrical, electronic or furniture product, a distributor undertakes to take back, free of charge, the WEEE that the consumer wishes to dispose of. The minimum legal limit of the take-back corresponds to the number of products purchased by the consumer. To be eligible for a return, the product must weigh more than 25kg and its dimension must exceed 2 meters. And it can only be done on an equivalent product (example: a projection screen taken back for a projection screen purchased). If it does not meet these criteria, the distributor will have a duty to advise the consumer.
*The request for return must reach us at the time of the order*.
Some materials and products can be sorted separately because they can be reused, recycled or recovered. They should not be mixed with household waste but should be taken to the waste collection center or placed in a dedicated sorting bin.
Here are the catefories involved:
- Furnishing elements
- Clothing, household linen and shoes
- Household packaging
- Electrical and electronic equipment
- Batteries and accumulators
- Chemical products generating specific diffuse waste

What is Triman signage?
The Triman sign is a visual marker that indicates to the consumer that the product (including the packaging) is subject to a sorting instruction.
Present since 2015, its objective is to clearly and unambiguously identify recyclable products that are subject to separate collection when they are used. They must not be thrown in the household waste garbage can but sorted or brought to a collection point (bins in stores, waste collection center...) to be recycled.
